WOMA's future with Kärcher
Ladies and Gentlemen!
It is our pleasure to announce you this important and good news for WOMA and its business partners.
Our longly intended plan will happen. From now on, WOMA GmbH and Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG will go a common way. The German family owned enterprise Kärcher with 75 years of tradition has acquired the majority of WOMA's shares effective April 1, 2011. WOMA celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2012.
Kärcher is the world market leader in cleaning technology. The Kärcher Group has 8000 employees worldwide and generated record sales of over 1.5 billion Euro in 2010.
The strong innovation power, the 100 percent focus on quality and the substantial experience generated in nearly all fields of cleaning technology Kärcher is contributing into the partnership, will be complemented by WOMA's valuable competence in ultra high pressure cleaning. Kärcher and WOMA are knowing each other for many years. Since 2006 both companies have been already working specifically and successfully together.
In this new association, Kärcher will set first priority on the strengthening of the WOMA brand and on the competitiveness of its products.
With Kärcher as the strong strategic partner, the worldwide operating WOMA Group with its headquarter in Duisburg, its subsidiaries and affiliates in 10 countries and distributors or representatives for 80 countries, will continue to further operate self-contained and in the market development successfully in synergy with the Kärcher Group.
We will further develop our product range and increase our capacities and activities in order to serve our customers in the best possible manner.
Maximum customer satisfaction is our target.
Mr. Theo Sausen will continue as Associate, President/CEO and Chairman of the Management Board. Mr. Jochen Trautmann will also continue in the Management Board as Managing Director. Mr. Markus Asch, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of the Management Board of Kärcher Group has now joined WOMA's Board of Management.
